Juggling a lot today including a bad cold that simply refuses to go away. The regular Tuesday post will go live either tonight or tomorrow morning.

HI Rob, I hope you are feeling better.
I have a question for you. I’m asking you because those I spoke to at Microsoft Customer Services seemed could not understand the question. I have recently upgraded to Excel 2013 (Home and Business) and it seems that power pivot is only available in the Office 2013 Professional PLUS suite (according to the MS website). I am not an enterprise user so do not have access to that version. Am I unable to use Power Pivot now that I have upgraded? How does a non-enterprise user get access to the full power pivot functionality?
Thanks for all your efforts and your great blog
Chris

Chris,
Unfortunately,as it stands now, in Excel 2013 you can only get the BI addins (PowerPivot, Power View, etc.) with a Professional Plus version of Office.
Microsoft gave us PowerPivot with 2010, hyped it up enormously (with us helping them), got some momentum, and have now effectively withdrawn it for a large segment of the market. why they have done this is a mystery to me, but it certainly leaves a bad taste.
